Streamlining Parking: Pune Traffic Police’s Yerwada Regulations

Pune’s bustling streets are in for a parking makeover as the Pune Traffic Police introduce a series of parking-related changes stretching from Badami Chowk to Shastri Nagar Chowk. These measures are aimed at enhancing traffic flow, safety, and convenience in these areas.

Here’s a breakdown of the new parking regulations implemented by the Yerawada Traffic Department in Pune City:

1. Badami Chowk to Sudama Bhel Centre: A ‘No Parking Zone’ will be enforced on both sides of the road, ensuring better traffic movement and road safety.

2. Sudama Bhel to Ishanya Mall Chowk: Parking will be prohibited at the Northern Side while Southern Side will allow parking, creating a more organized traffic flow.

3. Ishanya Mall Gate to Shantirakshak Chowk: This area will be designated as ‘P1 & P2 Parking,’ providing specific parking zones.

4. Shantirakshak Chowk to Karne Hospital: A similar ‘P1 & P2 Parking’ arrangement will be put in place to streamline parking.

5. From Karne Hospital towards the Society In Gate of Hermes Heritage Phase 2 & 3: No Parking will be allowed on the left side, but there will be designated 50-meter parking zones for two-wheelers and four-wheelers on the right side.

6. Hermes Heritage Phase 2 & 3 Society In Gate to Shastrinagar Chowk: Similar to the first area, a ‘No Parking Zone’ will be enforced on both sides of the road.

The Pune Traffic Police invite citizen engagement and feedback in this process. If you have any suggestions or objections, they can be submitted in writing to the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Control Branch, Yerawada Post Office, Bungalow No 6, Jail Road, Pune – 411006 between 24/10/2023 to 7/11/2023. The final regulations will be implemented after careful consideration of these suggestions and objections.

It’s important to note that these changes will not affect essential service vehicles, including fire brigade, police vehicles, and ambulances.
