Pimpri Chinchwad, 15th January 2024: In response to inquiries regarding the legal actions against Minister of Medical Education Hassan Mushrif and Shiv Sena (Shinde Faction) M.P. Bhavana Gawli, Kirit Somaiya asserted that he has presented all pertinent documents concerning corruption charges to investigative agencies. As a result, authorities have initiated actions such as attaching properties belonging to the accused members. Somaiya stated, “Now let the court decide their future.”
Previously accusing Mushrif and Bhavana of severe corruption charges, Somaiya highlighted that he had exposed about 39 corruption scandals, providing the respective documents to national investigation agencies. Acknowledging the evidence, these agencies conducted raids on various premises related to the accused members and attached properties associated with the scandals. Somaiya remarked, “I can’t wear the black jacket of lawyers and fight the case in courts, so let the courts do their job.”
Remaining diplomatic about the TDR scam linked to the PCMC, Somaiya chose to maintain silence, emphasizing that it is not within his purview.
