Shri Balaji Mahanatyam”: Pune Enthralled by the Divine Drama Unveiling Deity’s Grand History

Pune experienced a divine spectacle as the city witnessed the mesmerizing performance of ‘Shri Balaji Mahanatyam,’ a grand drama that unfolded the sacred history of Shri Balaji. Presented by the ‘Shri Govinda Cultural and Social Foundation,’ the production narrated the divine saga of Shri Balaji’s arrival in Bhulok, his Leela, and his profound connection with Shri Mahalakshmi in Kolhapur.

Staged on an impressive five-storied set, the Mahanatyam enthralled the audience with its visual splendor. The production featured the participation of 250 amateur artists, over 70 dance performers, along with horses, robotic elephants, and more.

‘Shri Balaji Mahanaty’ marked its debut in Pune, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the ‘Shri Govinda Cultural and Social Foundation,’ with the proceeds contributing to the temple construction fund in Pandharpur.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy. Notable dignitaries in attendance included entrepreneur Nitin Chordia, Bigg Boss fame actor Abhijit Beechukle, Mahanatya writer and director Vishal Deepak Dhumawat, and Adv. Sunny Ravindra Kolpakar.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Tridandi Srimannarayana Ramanuja Chinna Jeeyar Swamy underscored the significance of the play, emphasizing its role in narrating the history of Balaji. He highlighted the divine presence of Shri Balaji Bhagwan in Kalyuga, blessing believers, and expressed that the grand play aims to contribute to the construction of a temple dedicated to the deity.

‘Shree Balaji Mahanatyam’ is scheduled for daily performances at 5 pm until February 11, hosted at Chordiya Corner Ground in Shanti Nagar, Kondhwa.
