Shiv Sena’s Sushma Andhare Sparks Controversy with Exposed Police Van Incident in Pune

In a recent turn of events, Sushma Andhare, the deputy leader of Shiv Sena (Thackeray group), has set the Maharashtra home department abuzz by sharing a video capturing a peculiar incident involving a police van in Pune. The footage, which raises eyebrows, shows young individuals handing over packets to the police, putting State Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis in the spotlight once again.

Unveiling the Video:

This revelation follows the Lalit Patil case, where the home department faced criticism. Sushma Andhare’s decision to share this video adds another layer of scrutiny to the effectiveness of the home minister’s leadership.

The Scene in Question:

Andhare emphasized that the incident took place near the jail, just 200 meters away, in an area lacking CCTV surveillance. She expressed concerns about security lapses and the potential for untoward incidents, questioning the purpose of a bus in the vicinity that could mislead citizens into believing it’s a mere restroom stop for prisoners.

Video Analysis:

The video captures a police van making a stop, individuals approaching, and an exchange occurring at the back door of the van. Andhare raises questions about the circumstances leading to the permission for this exchange and the contents of the small bags being transferred. She stresses the need for a thorough investigation into the matter.

Government Criticism:

Beyond the specific incident, Andhare criticizes the government’s handling of various issues, including the ongoing OBC vs. Maratha debate. She demands accountability from the authorities involved, particularly challenging the effectiveness of Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Andhare accuses Fadnavis of prioritizing internal party matters over his responsibilities as Home Minister.

Police Commissioner’s Response:

In response to the controversy, Pune Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr stated that the video dates back to 26th July. He assured that actions are being taken against the policemen involved in any misconduct.
