Senior Citizen Files Complaint Against Balewadi Restaurant for Deflating Car Tyres in Pune

A senior citizen from Bavdhan, Pune, has lodged a complaint against a restaurant in the Balewadi area for forcefully deflating her car’s tyres.

On September 3, the incident occurred when the senior citizen, accompanied by two friends, visited Balewadi High Street. She parked her car on the street in front of ‘Two Sticks’ restaurant. When the restaurant owner asked them to move the car, they pointed out the absence of “no parking” signs or any indications that the parking space was reserved for hotel customers.

However, the restaurant owner was insistent about not allowing them to park there. In a shocking turn of events, another individual from the restaurant began removing air from the front tyre of the senior citizen’s car. He threatened them, stating that if the car remained parked in that location, he would deflate all four tyres. Fearing further damage, the car was parked elsewhere.

Following the incident, the senior citizen filed an FIR on September 4. The case has been registered under Sections 506 (criminal intimidation) and 427 (mischief causing damage) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The investigation into the matter is currently underway.

This incident highlights the importance of respecting parking regulations and addressing disputes through legal and non-destructive means.
