As the Lok Sabha elections draw nearer, key leaders from the Mahayuti alliance, including the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), and Shiv Sena (Shinde camp), are set to engage in the final round of discussions on seat-sharing in Delhi today. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar expressed optimism about concluding the negotiations and finalizing the seat-sharing formula.

“Talks will be held in Delhi in the presence of senior BJP leaders to finalize the seat-sharing formula. Possibly, tomorrow itself, the formula will be finalized,” Pawar stated during the inauguration of a new terminal at Pune airport on Sunday.

“We have sought a considerable number of seats. The seat-sharing will be done while retaining the respect of each ally,” he added.

The previous week saw the commencement of discussions as Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar engaged in the first round of talks with BJP President JP Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The meeting, held at Shah’s residence and lasting over two hours, focused on accommodating candidates in case the seat goes to an ally, according to sources from the BJP.
