Seamless Journeys: Pune Metro Rolls Out ₹100 Daily Pass for Unlimited Travel

In response to growing demand, Pune Metro has introduced a game-changing daily pass priced at ₹100, offering commuters unlimited access to metro services throughout the business day, from 6 am to 10 pm.

The official Pune Metro X (formerly Twitter) handle made the exciting announcement, revealing that pass holders can now enjoy unrestricted travel on both metro routes – from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) to Civil Court and Vanaz to Ramwadi. Notably, pass holders have the flexibility to enter and exit multiple times at any station.

It is crucial to note that the pass fee is non-refundable, and no discounts are applicable.

“Get unlimited access to Pune Metro all day! Purchase your pass now.”

This announcement closely follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent virtual inauguration of a significant 5.5km stretch of the Pune Metro, completing the Vanaz to Ramwadi line and seamlessly connecting the eastern and western parts of the city.

Commuters can now traverse a distance of over 14.5km in just 36 minutes, with a nominal fare of ₹30.

In addition to inaugurating the new stretch, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the upcoming PCMC to Nigdi (Bhakti Shakti Chowk) route. This elevated stretch, approved by the Centre in October last year, will feature four stations – Chinchwad, Akurdi, Nigdi, and Bhakti Shakti Chowk – spanning a total length of 4.413km, with an estimated project cost of ₹910.18 crore.
