Pune News : In a bid to enhance efficiency and convenience for its students, Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has announced the initiation of a paperless process for the online issuance of academic documents. The decision, taken in a recent examination board meeting, aims to alleviate the inconvenience faced by students in obtaining necessary documents in a timely manner.
Under the current system, students affiliated with various colleges under SPPU need to apply online for their academic documents and then submit a printed copy along with the required paperwork to the university’s student facilitation center. However, this process has proven to be time-consuming, causing inconvenience for many students.
Recognizing the need for a more streamlined approach, the university has decided to implement an online system, allowing students to apply for and receive their academic documents through a digital platform. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce the processing time and eliminate the hassles associated with the traditional method.
Aditya Mohite, a former student, shared his experience, stating, “I wanted the transcript certificate from the university last year, but as the process was time-consuming and no proper information was available, I did not get the document on time. If the process starts online, it will help thousands of students.”
Rahul Pakhere, an SPPU senate member, highlighted the university’s proactive approach, stating, “After a discussion in the university general assembly, the examination reform committee was formed. Considering the recommendations made by the committee, necessary measures were planned by the university. Students will soon be able to obtain necessary documents by applying online.”
As SPPU takes this step towards a more efficient and student-friendly process, it sets a precedent for other institutions to adopt technology-driven solutions for smoother administrative operations.
