The newly introduced medical facilities include the Advanced Cardiac Center, PM Jan Aushadi Kendra, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Liquid Medical Oxygen Tank.

Advanced Cardiac Center: The hospital has established a Cardiac Care Unit, featuring a Cath Lab and Six Cardiac Care Units, through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model. The unit will be under the guidance of Cardiologist Dr. Sunil Agarwal and his team. The Cath Lab will administer procedures like 2D Echo, Stress tests, and angiography at subsidized rates. Additionally, critical cardiac procedures such as Angioplasty, pacemaker implantation, and intra-cardiac defibrillation will be offered free of charge to eligible patients under the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojna.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU): Made possible by contributions from the Spherule Foundation, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and CPR Group, the NICU aims to provide essential intensive care services to newborns from the Cantonment hospital and nearby medical facilities at affordable rates. This facility caters to the increasing demand for NICU beds and offers much-needed relief to families facing the financial burden of expensive NICU care.

Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadi Kendra: This facility brings generic medicines within the hospital premises, alleviating the financial strain on patients with chronic ailments. These generic medicines are priced significantly lower (around 80% to 90% less) than their branded counterparts, making healthcare more accessible.

Liquid Oxygen Tank: The newly installed Liquid Oxygen Tank ensures a consistent supply of 99% pure oxygen to critical areas like the ICU, NICU, Operation Theaters, and the Cath Lab. The significance of such a provision was especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic when oxygen shortages posed critical challenges.

The event also recognized the generous contributions of donors like the AK Abdujee Trust, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Spherule Foundation, and CPR Group, who were felicitated for their philanthropic efforts towards supporting economically disadvantaged patients.

Citizens of the Pune Cantonment Board, along with social and political activists, expressed their gratitude for these advanced medical facilities that are now available at affordable rates. Their best wishes were extended for the hospital’s continued progress and enhanced services in the future.
