Deccan, 6th November 2023: In a powerful display of commitment to marine and maritime conservation, the Pune-based NGO Ocean Ally Foundation partnered with Black and Veatch Pune, a globally acclaimed engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction company specializing in infrastructure development. Together, they orchestrated a River Bank Cleanup event at Bhide Bridge in the early hours of November 4th.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees of both organizations, who were joined by their families and friends in the cleanup effort. Beyond the immediate impact of cleaning up the river bank, the initiative aimed to underscore the significance of nurturing a clean and sustainable environment for the community, while championing the vision of a green and livable city.
The Pune Municipal Corporation’s Vishrambaug Wada ward played a pivotal role in supporting the endeavor by collecting the sorted waste for responsible and timely disposal.
