Thanks to the diligent efforts of the Films Division, a high-definition version of this remarkable biography has been digitized, preserving these historical gems for generations to come.
A Trip Back in Time:
In addition to “Mahatma: Life of Gandhi, 1869-1948,” the screening event will include A. K. Chettiar’s “Mahatma Gandhi- 20th Century Prophet” (1940) and Motwane Production’s “Mahatma The Immortal.” These valuable films have also been digitized by the NFDC-National Film Archive of India as part of the National Film Heritage Mission, a project funded by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
