Raj Thackeray’s Heartwarming Gesture: Ailing 12-Year-Old Receives Toys and Sweets

In a heartwarming departure from his usual political persona, Raj Thackeray, the leader of the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), displayed his compassionate side by making an unexpected visit to the home of a party worker in Dapodi, Pimpri-Chinchwad. The visit was not accompanied by the usual entourage of workers, but rather brought along a packet filled with toys and chocolates.

The visit brought immense joy to 12-year-old Raj Deshpande, the son of Vishal Deshapande, a dedicated MNS worker and a rickshaw driver residing in the Dapodi area. Raj Deshpande is battling muscular dystrophy and is an ardent follower of Raj Thackeray.

Vishal Deshpande recounted how his son had expressed the fervent desire to meet Raj Thackeray for several years. With the assistance of MNS leaders Kishore Shinde and Sachin Chikhale, the boy’s wish was conveyed to Thackeray. The MNS chief, who was in Pune for party events and a wedding, assured that he would meet the young boy.

Prior to his visit to Dapodi, Raj Thackeray spent around 30 minutes shopping for toys and chocolates worth Rs 10,000 for the 12-year-old.

Upon his arrival, Raj Thackeray warmly embraced the child and inquired about his health. Filled with gratitude, Raj Deshpande expressed his thanks to the MNS leader for fulfilling his long-cherished wish. The boy shared with Raj Thackeray that he had been an avid follower, following him on television and social media. As a token of appreciation, he gifted a pen to Raj Thackeray, encouraging him to keep it as a souvenir.

During the interaction, which lasted for about 15 minutes, Raj Thackeray engaged in a conversation with the young boy and his parents. He expressed genuine concern about the boy’s ailment and inquired about his well-being. The MNS chief assured them of his support and that of his party.

This unexpected act of kindness transcended politics and brought immense joy not only to the Deshpande family but also to the entire community of Dapodi. The visit was a heartening example of how leaders can touch lives and make a positive impact beyond their political roles.
