Pune: Purandar Airport Technical Issues 99% Resolved, Says Minister Mohol

Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation, Muralidhar Mohol, announced that 99% of the technical issues affecting the Purandar Airport project have been resolved. This development follows a series of meetings aimed at addressing these challenges, with the state government now focusing on resolving the remaining land acquisition concerns.

Address at Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh Event

Minister Mohol made the announcement during a conversation organized by the Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh on Saturday. The event was attended by notable figures, including Pune Shramik Patrakar Sangh President Padurang Sandbhor and General Secretary Sakrit Mokashi. Mohol expressed optimism about the progress of the Purandar Airport project, indicating that the final hurdles are close to being overcome.

Future of Cooperative Initiatives

In his address, Mohol also highlighted plans to elevate the Vaikuthbhai Mehta Institute in Pune to university status, transforming it into a cooperative university. “Cooperation is deeply rooted in the state, and it requires significant efforts,” he said. “Great strides have been made in recent years, and the national policy on cooperation is in its final stages. This policy will be announced soon and will provide justice and benefits to small entities.”

Reflecting on Ministerial Responsibility

Mohol emphasized the honor and responsibility that comes with direct ministerial positions, noting that this reflects a strong commitment within a capable team. He reiterated the goal of making Pune the best city in the country, mentioning ongoing efforts to engage with various departments for necessary information and collaboration.

Advancing the Cooperative Department’s Agenda

Regarding the Cooperative Department, Mohol mentioned that two recent meetings have been focused on advancing the department’s agenda. He highlighted the importance of cooperation in connecting directly with farmers and emphasized the need for time and dedication to this work. “A new cooperation policy will soon be introduced to ensure justice for small companies,” he added.

Collaboration Among State Leaders

Mohol underscored the importance of collaboration among state leaders, noting that the current government operates differently from its predecessors. He mentioned that the Cooperative Department currently has two Minister of State positions, with a division of labor anticipated soon.

Transportation Improvements in Pune

In addition to the developments in the cooperative sector, Mohol also discussed transportation improvements. He announced the introduction of a six-coach train in Pune district, assuring that Pune will receive due attention in future plans. “Both ministries will be given due attention,” he assured.
