Pune’s Infrastructure Boost: Guardian Minister’s Focus on Citizen Concerns

District Guardian Minister Chandrakant Dada Patil has taken a proactive approach to address the pressing issues faced by Pune city’s residents. He has instructed officials to organize ward-level meetings following the conclusion of Ganeshotsav to directly address these challenges. The primary objective is to conduct comprehensive inspections at the ward level and implement the necessary measures to resolve the citizens’ immediate problems.

In a recent meeting convened at the Government Rest House, Guardian Minister Patil conducted a thorough review of the issues and development projects in the Kothrud and Shivajinagar Vidhan Sabha constituencies. Attending the meeting were MLA Siddharth Shirole, Municipal Commissioner Vikram Kumar, Additional Commissioner Vikas Dhakne, Superintendent Engineer of the Water Supply Department Anirudh Pavaskar, along with various department officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and chief officers from ward offices.

Guardian Minister Patil underscored that citizens have fundamental expectations, including access to clean water supply, proper sanitation and waste management, well-maintained roads, and efficient sewage drainage systems. He emphasized the significance of prompt actions by the municipal administration to address these concerns. In pursuit of a permanent solution for the water supply issue, he urged the swift completion of water supply scheme projects and the construction of water tanks. Additionally, Patil highlighted the necessity of effective control over pothole repairs on city roads.
