Shalini Parmar, a Pune resident, reflects the sentiment of many others who are choosing tranquility over the vibrant nightlife. “The nightlife in the city has its own charm, but the occupancy at most clubs is usually maxed out during this time. So, instead of hunting for reservations, I’ve booked a retreat near Pawana Lake to celebrate the holidays with my family,” she shares.
Nature-Centric Experiences in High Demand
Numerous peaceful retreats on the outskirts of Pune offer nature-centric experiences, and many of them are already fully booked. Neha V, a reservation consultant at The Machan in Lonavala, notes, “Since we are a nature-centric resort, we don’t have any live events or music for the New Year celebrations. People who have booked their stays with us are looking for leisure and rejuvenation experiences amid nature. We have a high number of reservations, almost fully booked, till January 1.”

Akshay Kusmade, owner of The Triangle Glamping, a camping site near Pune, shares, “We have a few slots open between Christmas and New Year’s Eve, but those will also be gone soon. We have curated some special events like live music, dance, cake cutting, and private bonfires for our guests to enjoy the New Year.”
