Pune: Youth dies of electrocution in Shirur taluka

PUNE: A youth died at Shirasgaon Kata (Shirur taluka) of electrocution after coming into contact with a loose electric wire. The deceased has been identified as Vishwanath Chourang Chavan (28).

According to the information, Vishwananth was involved in agriculture and was a labourer. On Sunday, he had gone out for some work and while on his way back, he suffered a shock from a loose electric wire.

When local residents came to know about the incident in the morning, they informed his family members. The Shirur police rushed to the spot and carried out a panchnama. The process of registering an FIR is going at the Shirur police station.

Meanwhile, the Director of Ghodganga Sugar Factory, Narendra Mane, has demanded that the government should provide compensation to the deceased’s family since the youth died after coming in contact with a loose wire.
