PUNE / HINJEWADI: A tragic incident took place during the immersion procession of a public Ganesh mandal at Hinjewadi. A youth lost his life due to the extremely loud music being blared by a sound system on Wednesday.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Yogesh Manoj Sakhre (23), a resident of Hinjewadi. He was a member of Kranti Mitra Mandal. The immersion procession of the mandal started at 7 pm and the sound system was blaring songs at a loud volume.
The youth’s heart stopped beating due to the loud noise from the sound speaker and he passed away. After this incident, all mandals have stopped using the sound system. The Hinjewadi police are carrying out further action.
Incidents of deaths of two youths due to heart attack because of the loud noise of the sound system had been reported from Sangli district. Now, three cases of youths dying because of the loud noise of the sound system have been reported from the state.
