Pune: A woman was repeatedly raped by threatening to sack her husband from work. A case has been registered in the city against a supervisor working in the Lokmangal Factory, Lohara, district Osmanabad.
The incident took place from 2017 to 2018 and on November 9 this year. The accused sexually assaulted the victim at remote places in Lohara and Wagholi.
A 35-year-old woman lodged a complaint at the Lonikand Police Station in this regard. Ankush Mannu Rathod, a resident of Osmanabad, has been booked under sections 376/2/N, 323, 504 and 506.
According to the police, the complainant’s husband is working in the Lohara factory. The accused is the supervisor of her husband. He threatened to sack her husband and kill her children, if she did not have physical relations with him. He beat her and forced to sleep with him. Finally, she approached the Lonikand Police on Tuesday.
