Pune Weather Forecast: Rainfall Anticipated, Temperature Relief Post February 14th

Pune: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather update for parts of Maharashtra, including Pune, forecasting rainfall over the next few days. According to the IMD, an anti-cyclone is anticipated to form over the state after February 10, bringing light to medium rain to Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and other select regions. Additionally, Pune may witness a 2-degree Celsius increase in minimum temperatures until February 14, accompanied by haze and cloudy skies in the mornings, starting from February 10.

The current weather in Pune is marked by abnormally high temperatures, attributed to moisture preventing cold winds from the north. The IMD notes that the city is currently experiencing maximum temperatures between 34 and 35 degrees Celsius and minimum temperatures ranging from 14 to 15 degrees Celsius. However, relief from the heat is expected after February 14.

Light to moderate rainfall is expected in Telangana, Madhya Maharashtra, north Maharashtra, and Vidarbha, accompanied by thunder and lightning.

While the northern regions of the country are under the influence of a Western Disturbance (WD), leading to lower temperatures in many areas, the moisture-laden air has prevented central India, including Maharashtra, from benefiting from the cold waves.

As Pune gears up for the anticipated rain, residents are advised to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions.
