Pune Village Residents Alarmed by Strange Sound Amid Earthquake Scare

Residents of Ghodegaon village in Ambegaon Taluka, Pune, were left puzzled and concerned as they experienced an odd and eerie sound similar to earthquake tremors in the early hours of Wednesday. Reports indicate that the unsettling noise was heard at around 4:30 am, followed by two more occurrences throughout the day, sparking worries of a possible earthquake among the local population.

Reacting promptly to the reports, officials from the district administration swiftly visited the village and engaged with the villagers to ascertain the nature of the situation. Sanjay Nagtilak, the Tehsildar of Ambegaon Taluka, was on-site and reported, “Residents shared their experiences of hearing an unusual sound from beneath the earth’s surface. Despite their claims, we verified with the relevant department at the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), and no earthquake activity was recorded in the area. Our inspection of the village did not reveal any signs of cracks in walls or infrastructure that could suggest seismic activity.”

Local Minister Dilip Walse Patil, who is based in Ambegaon, personally interacted with the villagers to address their concerns and provide assurance. He directed the district administration’s officials to thoroughly communicate with the villagers and compile a comprehensive report on the matter.

While the cause of the mysterious sound remains unidentified, authorities have sought to reassure the local population by investigating and addressing their concerns. The district administration has extended support to villagers and urged them to promptly report any further unusual incidents to ensure timely action.

As uncertainty looms over the peculiar sound, the district administration’s response underscores the significance of public safety and effective communication in addressing concerns related to natural phenomena. While no concrete conclusions have been reached at this time, the authorities’ proactive approach reflects their commitment to the welfare and peace of mind of the local community.
