Pune: Urgent Resolution Demanded for Multiple Civic Issues in Kasba Assembly Constituency

Pune, 18th July 2023: The Kasba Assembly Constituency continues to grapple with a range of unresolved civic problems, prompting the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to demand swift action for their resolution. Hemant Rasane, the former chairman of the Standing Committee, raised concerns about the deteriorating state of water supply, footpaths, parking, and toilets during his meeting with the Municipal Commissioner on Monday. He presented a comprehensive ward-wise list of issues and urged the Commissioner and Administrator Vikram Kumar to address these pressing matters urgently.

In a dedicated effort by the BJP, citizens are being contacted to gather information about the challenges faced in the Kasba Assembly Constituency. Over the past four months, Hemant Rasane has actively engaged with residents to understand their grievances, leading up to his meeting with Commissioner Vikram Kumar. During the meeting, Rasane emphasized the persisting concerns and called for immediate action. One of the major problems affecting all wards in the constituency is the inadequate and irregular water supply, characterized by low pressure. This issue has been a long-standing problem for the residents.

The deteriorating condition of roads is another significant concern, with potholes and damaged surfaces posing hazards to motorists and pedestrians alike. The lack of proper parking spaces and unclear demarcation of parking lanes have further exacerbated the problem. Encroachments on footpaths have become rampant, hindering the smooth movement of pedestrians. The fading zebra crossing markings at intersections have compromised safety measures for road users. Neglected sewage channels and rain drains are in urgent need of cleaning and maintenance.

Moreover, the deteriorated condition of public toilets in slum areas and older structures has raised concerns about hygiene and sanitation. The non-operational CCTV system, malfunctioning street lights, and overgrown trees that require pruning have also been highlighted as pressing issues by Hemant Rasane.

The citizens of the Kasba Assembly Constituency eagerly await prompt action to address these long-standing civic problems. The BJP’s demand for urgent resolution underscores the importance of ensuring a safe and livable environment for all residents.
