Pune: Two burglars with unique house break-ins style arrested by Kondhwa police

Pune: The two burglars who used to come from Delhi to Pune by plane and break into houses and steal household items and jewellery were finally arrested by the Kondhwa police. The two accused have been identified as Rizwan Azmat Ali (32) a resident of Rajivnagar in Delhi and Ikarar Naseer Ahmed (27) a resident of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh.

According to the police, On July 13 between 2:30 to 4 pm the house of Rabindra Hanumant Batarke (50) and Kiran Avinash Holkar, a resident of Kondhwa was broken open and gold and silver ornaments along with cash were stolen. A case was registered in this regard at Kondhwa police station.

Under the guidance of senior police inspector Santosh Sonwane, police inspector crime Sanjay Mogle, Sandeep Bhosle, investigating officer police sub-inspector Swapnil Patil, police constable Dnyaneshwar Bhosle, Anil Bankar while investigating the case they got information that two persons were loitering suspiciously in the residential area of Gokulnagar. They were also visiting societies where there are no watchmen.

Soon after receiving this information sub-inspector Patil went to Gokulnagar area along with other police colleagues and detained both the accused and questioned them. When cops asked them the reason for coming to this area they started giving vague answers so their bags were checked in which their used clothes along with a screwdriver with a green plastic handle and a small cutter were found under the clothes. On further investigation, they confessed to burglarizing the house. Both were arrested and gold jewellery worth Rs 1,60,000 was seized.

The action was initiated under the guidance of Pune police commissioner Ritesh Kumar, joint commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Ranjan Kumar Sharma, DCP Vikrant Deshmukh, ACP Shahuraje Salve, Sr PI Santosh Sonwane, PI Sandeep Bhosale, police sub-inspector Swapnil Patil, police constables Satish Chavan, Nilesh Desai, police naik Gorakhath Chinke, Jotiba Pawar, police inspectors Laxman Holkar, Santosh Bansude, Sujit Madan, Suraj Shukla, Anil Bankar of the investigation team of Kondhwa police station by senior police inspector crime Sanjay Mogle and Dnyaneshwar Bhosale.
