Pune: Two booked for forging signatures and cheating to the tune of Rs 1.5 crore in Mahalunge area

Pune: Two have been booked for cheating one person of Rs 1.5 crore by removing him from the director post and also forging his signatures. The incident took place between December 2019 to October 19, 2023 at Kubera Merchant Pvt. Ltd company at Kuruli in Khed district. A case has been registered against two people in this case.

Manoj Shantaram Gaikwad (43) a resident of Gaikwad Vasti at Kuruli in Khed district has filed a complaint in Mahalunge MIDC Police Station. Accordingly, a case under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 420, 465, 468, 471, 34 has been registered against two people including a woman.

According to the police, “The plaintiff was a director of a Kuruli based Kubera Merchant Pvt. Ltd. The accused forged the complainant’s signature and signed his resignation and removed him from the post of director. Later the accused woman was appointed in her place. The complainant asked the accused woman in this regard to which she replied that “I have signed your signature and accepted your resignation and I will use Do whatever you want to do and I will use the loan amount, do whatever you want. In this regard the plaintiff has suffered a financial loss of Rs.1.5 crore.”

The further investigation is being conducted by assistant police inspector Sarang.
