Pune: Two arrested for cheating a man by taking Rs 10 lakh to make him a police

Pune: A con man lured one aspiring police man on the pretext of making him police and cheated Rs 10 lakh from him. The incident took place on December 3, 2022 at Talegaon Dabhade. In this case a woman has lodged a complaint at Dabhade Talegaon police station. Accordingly, the police have registered a case against two accused identified as Santosh Babaso Kadam (50), Sanad Santosh Kadam (26), Sanket Santosh Kadam (26) all the residents of Kharghar, Navi Mumbai.

According to the police, since April 2019, the suspects lured the plaintiff’s husband to get a job in the police department. For that, after gaining the trust of the plaintiff’s husband the con man took Rs 5 lakh from the plaintiff’s house on December 3,2022. Also on 28th February 2023 Rs 5 lakh were again taken in front of the plaintiff’s partner. In the complaint it has been mentioned that the suspect cheated of Rs 10 lakh.
