Pune: The DoRBit Foundation NGO celebrated with underprivileged children from Chorgewadi village by gifting them a library, snacks, and stationery items

Pune: In a heartwarming display of community support and dedication to education, the DoRBit Foundation NGO unveiled a captivating library today at ZP School Chorgewadi, situated near Lavasa Road in Pune. The event, marked by enthusiasm and goodwill, saw a team of volunteers led by core committee member Abhishek Singh, who arrived at the school at the crack of dawn and engaged with the eager students.

The event commenced with a felicitation ceremony, honoring esteemed guests, followed by the grand inauguration of the library itself. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was gracefully executed by the Chief Guests, Sudhakar Dama and Suresh Reve, who also serve as the chairman and secretary of Sangria Megapolis society, respectively.

Sanjay Bansode, the school’s headmaster, took the opportunity to introduce the attendees to the noble initiatives of the DoRBit Foundation NGO. Subsequently, Urawade Cluster Head Ravindra Chaudhary, Punjabrao Sudrik, and Ramesh Marne were recognized for their invaluable support and contributions to the establishment of this enriching library.

Viraj Medhe, a Core Committee member, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the school staff for their unwavering cooperation and support in realizing the Foundation’s initiatives.

Vipin Mohit Shrivastava, the Founder of the NGO, extended his thanks to all the dedicated volunteers and encouraged the students to make the best use of the library and its resources. He stressed the significance of books in shaping young minds.

Continuing with their mission to instill a love for reading, DoRBit volunteers Shubham Bhave and Sonali Bhave interacted with the children, highlighting the importance of books and their role in personal development.

As part of the “Celebrate with DoRBit” initiative, Mona Agrawal generously distributed snacks to 35 students as an early celebration of her husband Akshay Singhal’s birthday. The children expressed their best wishes and heartfelt birthday greetings.

In an additional display of support, DoRBit volunteers Nancy Jain and Akshay Bolia distributed stationery items to the students, contributing to the organization’s ongoing efforts to provide school supplies to underprivileged students.

School Teacher Nilima Kendale announced the results of Nutritious food preparation competition where parents had participated and Sonali Bhave from DoRBit Foundation felicitated the winners.

The event drew attendance from Dattatray Pakhre-Grampanchayat member, Sharad bhau Gund-Ex Vice Sarpanch, Daivat Gund-SMC Chairman, Sunil Bengude-Ex SMC Chairman, Villagers- Bandu Chorghe,Gulab More,Amol Dhebe,Yogiraj Kadam,Asmita Thopte, Jayshri Chorghe,Kalyani Gund,Pallavi More,Sarika Shelar,Payal Gund,Amrapali Risodkar, Pratibha Marathe- Anganwadi Teacher, members of the Gram Panchayat, parents, school staff, and, of course, the excited students. It served as a powerful testament to the positive impact that community-driven initiatives can have in enhancing education and opportunities for all.

The DoRBit Foundation NGO’s dedication to fostering education through initiatives like this library is a shining example of how collective efforts can make a profound difference in the lives of students and the community at large.
