Pune: Tatpurushen Dance Organisation to hold ‘Yatpurushen’ programme in Pune on August 2

PUNE: Puneites are going to get a golden opportunity to experience a feast of classical dance on August 2. Tatpurushen Dance Organisation has organised a grand programme of classical dance. Noted male dancers will perform at the programme. The programme ‘Yatpurushen’ has been organised to inculcate a liking for classical dance among youths and increase their participation.

Indian classical dance has maintained its unique identity today. Male dancers have also made a lot of contributions. To increase the liking for classical dance, five noted male dancers have formed Tatpurushen Dance Organisation. The organisation is going to organise ‘Yatpurushen’ dance festival for male dancers every year. A platform for male dancers will be created. The festival will be inaugurated in Pune. The programme will be held on August 2 at Annabhau Sathe Auditorium, Satara Road, Bibvewadi at 7 pm. Famous dancers Pradeep Vidhate, Namito Navale, Mayur Shitole, Girish Manohar and Abhishek Ghavde will perform at the programme.

At ‘Yatpurushen’programme, Chandrakant Mokate, Deepak Mankar, Murlidhar Mohol, Vikas Anna Pasalkar Shankar Kemse, music director Adi Ramchandra, Ad Shrikant Shirole, Sunil Mahajan and eminent persons from the fields of art, literature and music will be present. The gurus of the founders of Tatpurushen Dance Organisation will be felicitated. Shama Bhate, Tejaswini Sathe, Archana Anuradha and Prajakta Raj will be felicitated. Tatpurushen Dance Organisation has been formed by noted male dancers from Pune i.e. Pradeep Vidhate, Namito Navale, Mayur Shitole, Girish Manohar and Abhishek Ghavde.
These five dancers are experts in kathak dance and they have been practising for many years.

Pradeep Vidhate has represented India in world dance competition. He has received training from famous kathak guru Shama Bhate. Namito Navale has secured the master’s degree in kathak and has been learning dance since 15 years. He has been honoured with the Pandit Gopi Krishna International Award, Pandit Lachhu Maharaj Award, Nritya Bhushan Award and Nritya Kala Shri Sanman. Mayur Shitole has secured the master’s degree with gold medal from Lalit Kala Kendra and he has taken part in many competitions. Abhishek Ghavde has secured the Visharad degree. He also won a medal at the Global Cultural Olympiad held in Spain. Girish Manohar has also secured the master’s degree from Lalit Kala Kendra Pune.
