Pune: SPPU employee suspended for taking ₹3,000 for giving marksheet; Shocking incident at SPPU

PUNE: An incident of taking money from a student for giving the marksheet took place at the examination department of SPPU on August 26 (Saturday). SPPU Registrar Dr Praful Pawar issued suspension orders of Dr Sanjay Sampatrao Nevse, the senior assistant in the Examination Department.

Pratham Bhandari had gone to the Examination Department to take the marksheet of BA (third year) and Dr Nevse demanded ₹4,000 from him. On the next day, Pratham went to the department with his father and Nevse gave him the marksheet after taking ₹3,000. After being informed, ABVP activists caught Nevse red handed and exposed him. At that time, Nevse took out the money from his pocket and said that he had been given money by the student. A video of this incident had gone viral on social media and it had created a flutter.

Dr Pawar has stated in the order that Nevse has indulged in misappropriation for financial gains and his behaviour is unbecoming for a SPPU employee and hence, he is being suspended from August 29.
