Pune Sizzles as Mercury Peaks: Koregaon Park Records 39 Degrees Celsius

As Pune witnessed a notable rise in temperatures, Thursday afternoon brought a blend of heat and anticipation as clouds rolled in. A convergence of steamy gusts from the Arabian Sea, meeting chilly currents from North India and the Bay of Bengal, set the stage for anticipated lightning and thunderstorms in the evening. Koregaon Park took the lead nationally in temperature spikes, reaching 39 degrees Celsius, while Lavale recorded 38 degrees and Shivajinagar measured 36 degrees.

Across the state, Thursday’s maximum temperatures were recorded as follows: Pune (Koregaon Park 39, Shivajinagar 36), Mumbai 32, Nagpur 36, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar 34.3, Kolhapur 35.4, Nashik 35.4, Solapur 37.6, Ratnagiri 35.3, Satara 35.2, Sangli 36.2, Malegaon 35.6, Jalgaon 35.4, Parbhani 34.9.
