Pune : The Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganapati Trust organised Vasantic Uti and Mogra Mahotsav on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi on Sunday.

On the auspicious occasion, the entire sanctum sanctorum was attractively decorated with jasmine flowers, fragrance of which filled the entire temple.

Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganapati is known as the first public Ganpati mandal in India. Every year, various activities are held through the trust. On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, the Ganpati Mandal’s interior was decorated with mangos. On Sunday, Mogra (Jasmine) Mohatsav was celebrated on the occasion of Sankashti Chaturthi.

At that time, garlands of Mogra flowers were placed in the entire temple. Devotees also gathered in large numbers to take the blessing of Ganpati Bappa.

On this occasion, Vice Admiral DSP Varma, head of India’s first nuclear submarine project and recipient of the ‘Param Vishist Seva Medal’, ‘Ati Vishist Seva Medal’, and the ‘Vishist Seva Medal’, performed Bappa’s arati.

On this occasion, he said that it is necessary for the young generation to study Indian culture and Indian traditions and preserve them. “After visiting Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Bhavan, I got new energy. While learning about our history, the realisation of the hard work of our revolutionaries is reflected in this building,” said Varma.
