Pune: Shirgaon police arrested two for selling stimulant injections

Pune: The Shirgaon police have arrested two people who were openly selling ganja and stimulant injections in Pune’s Shirgaon area. The police have recovered 145 injection bottles and some quantities of ganja worth Rs 1.21 lakh.

The accused have been identified as Ganesh Pillay and Chaitanya Umesh Kurhade and they have been arrested by Shirgaon police.

According to the police, the Shirgaon police received information that the accused Sumit and Chaitanya were coming to sell stimulant injections used for intoxicating and body building. After that, both the accused were arrested from the Shigaon area. 145 bottles of injection brought for illegal sale and some quantities of ganja have been recovered from the accused. The injection recovered from the accused was found to be Mephentermine Sulphate, which is known as stimulant injection. Many people become intoxicated by this injection.

At the same time, this injection is also used for body building. If this stimulant is injected without a doctor’s permission, the person may die and there may be side effects on the person’s body. The action has been initiated by the team of senior police inspector Vanita Dhumal of Shirgaon police station under the guidance of assistant commissioner of police Padmakar Ghanwat.
