Pune Senior Citizen Faces Legal Heat: Accused of Tree Felling Through Document Tampering

Chikhali, 17th January 2024: Legal action has been initiated against a 75-year-old citizen in Pune for his alleged involvement in cutting down trees through the tampering of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) documents. The incident, which transpired on January 11 at Kudalwadi Chikhali, has prompted authorities to investigate and take legal measures against the senior citizen.

Bhausaheb Vishnu Sagare, a 54-year-old resident of Pimpri, filed a formal complaint with the Chikhali Police on Tuesday (16 January), accusing Prahlad Parashuram Pawar (75 years old, resident of Pimpri) of unauthorized tree felling. The complaint asserts that Pawar manipulated documents associated with the PCMC to facilitate the illegal act.

In response to the complaint, the Chikhali Police have promptly registered a case against Prahlad Parashuram Pawar. The senior citizen now faces legal consequences for his alleged involvement in the unauthorized tree felling. The police are actively investigating the case to collect evidence and determine the extent of the document tampering.
