PUNE: The sad state of affairs of the civic administration has come to light in Pune which is known as a smart city. Since a school van was stuck in the slush, the children had to push the van. A local resident recorded this incident and has made it viral on social media.

Netizens have criticised the PMC and the administration. The incident had taken place on August 3 in Baner area, Pancard Club Road, Survey Number 1 31,2 B Athashree Society. Local residents are upset with the poor condition of the road. Since the asphalting of the road has not taken place, the residents are having a tough time while travelling through the slush. They have complained to the civic body many times.
However, the civic administration has not taken note of their complaints and hence, such incidents are happening repeatedly. Students have to suffer like this in a city known as an educational hub and a question arises about the condition of students in rural areas. However, it remains to be seen whether the civic administration will take a serious note of this incident and take suitable action.
