Pune : RB Horangi Taekwondo Do Jung Association, Pune achieved great success at the 16th World Taekwondo Culture Expo & Competition (Poomse) and International Taekwondo Championships held in South Korea. RB Horangi’s players grabbed 18 gold, 4 silver and 15 bronze medals in Kyorugi and Poomse categories in Muju-gun, South Korea.
Around 3000+ contestants from various countries like South Korea, North Korea, India, Russia, USA, Australia, Germany, Philippines, Brazil, Nepal, Pakistan, Israel, Indonesia, Bangladesh participated in this competition. Under RB Horangi Taekwondo Do Jung Association, Pune various players from Maharashtra, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh etc participated.
Sarvesh Srinivas Kedgoni, Sumedha Sakhre, Sanika Kale, Rugved Nalawade, Janvi Tilekar, Krishna Gowad, Tejunath Chouhan, Pavan Kumar won the gold medal in poomsae category, while Krish Kedgoni, Tejaswini Kangade, Viraj Biranje, Trupti Pardeshi, Gayatri Katke, Prakash Prajapati, Prashant Ramugade, Shweta Thigala, Deepak Krishna, Shadrach R.V. won gold medals in the Kyorugi category. Vaishnavi Mulik in Poomsae & Drishti Rokde, Nandini Bafna, Siddhesh Jagtap won the silver medal in Kyorugi.
Master Ravindra Bhandari, Founder of RB Horangee Taekwondo Do Jung Association, Pune, 5th Dan Black Belt and International Instructor, National Referee, imparted training and rigorous training to all the participants. His hard work on the students was 100% the result of the team in South Korea. Master Kiran Gaikwad and Mr. Paresh Bafna assisted the team during the match. Two girls from St. Felix School participated in this competition, one girl won a gold medal and the other won a silver medal. Appreciation of these girls. Principal of St. Felix School, Sister Jennifer, Supervisor, Sister Elsa, Supervisor, Lena Paul, praised the team and the players.
