Pune, 13th August 2023: A significant milestone was achieved in Pune’s railway division as a new scratch rake, or an additional rake, was successfully formed, resulting in the timely departure of both Train No. 12129 Azad Hind Express and Train No. 11077 Jhelum Express from Pune station.
This seamless departure comes as a relief after a series of rescheduling incidents that affected the schedules of these trains since July 30, 2023, due to the swapping of rakes between the two.
With meticulous efforts, the Pune division diligently arranged for a new rake with the same composition as the original, ensuring that both trains could resume their journeys as per their designated timetables.
Dr. Ramdas Bhise, Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) and Public Relations Officer, expressed optimism regarding the maintenance of punctuality in the future. He acknowledged the vital roles that the Azad Hind Express and Jhelum Express play within the Pune division’s network and assured passengers of continued efforts to provide reliable and timely services.
The successful and punctual departure of these two trains represents a commendable achievement for the railway authorities.
