Pune, India – In a philanthropic move, Punit Balan, the Group President and a dynamic entrepreneur, has extended a generous donation of Rs 21 lakh towards the renovation of the historic Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara in Khadki. The announcement was made during a special function held recently, marked by the presence of Janhavi Dhariwal-Balan, CMD of Manikchand Oxyrich, and attended by numerous well-wishers.
The pivotal moment of the event was the unveiling of a stone plaque in memory of Punit Balan’s mother, Indrani Balan, signifying a personal connection to the cause. The Rs 21-lakh donation by Punit Balan is aimed at revitalizing the Gurudwara’s premises, located on Elphinstone Road, which holds significant historical and cultural importance.
Expressing his satisfaction, Punit Balan stated, “I feel privileged to play a part in the restoration of this sacred Gurudwara. It is a small contribution from my end, and I hope it brings positive transformations to this revered place of worship.”
Shri Guru Singh Sabha Gurudwara, a spiritual hub in Khadki, has been a beacon of faith for generations. Gairsagurbir Singh Oberoy, President of the Gurudwara, and the Managing Committee extended their gratitude to Punit Balan for his substantial contribution.
