Pune Police Intensify Efforts: 16 Accused, Including Mastermind Ganesh Marne, and Vitthal Shelar Face MCOCA Charges in Sharad Mohol Murder Case

Pune: Police Commissioner Ritesh Kumar has squared his shoulders in the Pune gangster Sharad Mohol murder case and ordered stringent action under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) against 16 people. In this action, the notorious gangsters and prime conspirators in the Sharad Mohol murder case, Ganesh Marne and Vitthal Shelar, have also been charged.

So far, police have managed to apprehend Sahil alias Munna Santosh Polekar, Namdev Mahipati Kangude, Amit alias Amar Maruti Kangude, Chandrakant Shahu Shelke, Vinayak Santosh Gavankar, Vitthal Kisan Gandle, Adv. Ravindra Pawar, Adv. Sanjay Udan, Vitthal Shelar, Ramdas alias Waghya Marne, Dhananjay Maruti Vatkar, Satish Sanjay Shedge, Nitin Anantha Khaire, Aditya Vijay Gole, and Santosh Damodar Kurpe.

The in-depth investigation into the Sharad Mohol murder case revealed that Ganesh Marne and Vitthal Shelar were the masterminds behind this attack that took place in the Sutardara area of Kothrud on January 5. Therefore, a proposal was submitted to the Commissioner of Police to take action against the accused under the MCOCA Act.

After a detailed scrutiny of the application and relevant documents, the Commissioner of Police has ordered to take action against the accused under the stinging MCOCA Act. This case is being investigated by Additional Commissioner of Police Ram Nath Pokale, Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, and Assistant Commissioner of Police Sunil Tambe of the Crime Branch.

In the gangster Sharad Mohol murder case, the name of the gangster, Ganesh Marne, has come to light. The investigation has revealed that Ganesh Marne is the main mastermind of this crime. As per the reports, Marne is currently absconding, and police are actively tracking down his whereabouts. For this many police teams have been dispatched to hunt down the accused.

Meanwhile, another accused in the case, Vitthal Shelar, who has been sent to judicial custody in Yerawada Jail, has applied for pre-arrest bail through his lawyer in magistrate court.
