Pune: Person Faces Legal Heat Under Online Harassment Case

Pune: A person contacted through Instagram made a video call to a woman and threatened her to kill her husband if she refused to meet him. This disturbing incident took place in the Pune Camp area from December 13 to December 20. In this regard, a complaint has been registered against one at Samarth Police Station.

A 40-year-old woman living in Pune Camp filed a complaint in this regard against accused Siddharth Jadhav on Wednesday.

According to the police, the accused, Siddharth Jadhav, contacted a complainant through the online social media app Instagram. After some contact with each other, the accused one day made repeated video calls to the woman. As she did not pick up the calls, he threatened to commit suicide if she did not pick up the phone.

In the subsequent events, the accused called the woman to meet her. However, when the woman refused his demand, the infuriated accused called the woman and threatened to kill her husband. It has also been mentioned in the complaint that he threatened to defame her on social media.

Taking a serious note of the incident, police registered a case against Siddharth Jadhav under IPC 354d, 504, and 506 and initiated a further inquiry into the case.
