Pune: The eagerly awaited lottery draw for the sale of 5863 houses in Pune, Pimpri Chinchwad, Kolhapur, Solapur, and Sangli, organised under various housing schemes by MHADA, has been rescheduled. Initially slated for November 24, the draw was postponed due to administrative reasons. The Pune Board has now confirmed that the draw will take place on December 5 in Pune, bringing relief to approximately 59 thousand applicants set to participate.

The response to the application process for the 5863 housing units in the Pune region area has been overwhelming, with a whopping 60,000 applications received within the stipulated deadline. Of these, around 59,000 applicants have been deemed eligible for the draw. Originally scheduled for November 24, the draw faced a delay due to administrative considerations, prolonging the anticipation for aspiring homeowners. Pune Board Chief Officer, Ashok Patil, has officially announced the new date for the draw—December 5.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar is actively involved in overseeing the proceedings of the lottery draw, with plans underway to facilitate a smooth and efficient process. Pawar emphasised that efforts are being made to accommodate his schedule for the event, ensuring the fair and timely allocation of the housing units.
