Pune Municipal Corporation Removes Concrete Pillars to Alleviate Traffic Bottlenecks

In a significant step to address traffic congestion and bottlenecks, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has successfully removed two large concrete pillars at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk on Keshav Nagar – Manjari Road. The initiative is part of the ongoing efforts to enhance traffic flow and alleviate issues faced by commuters in the area.

Pune Traffic Police provided additional information, stating, “To eliminate bottlenecks at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk on Keshavnagar – Manjari Road and enhance traffic flow, two substantial concrete pillars were removed, and the road was widened with the cooperation of officials from the Pune Municipal Corporation.”

The move has received active engagement from netizens on social media platforms. Users have expressed their opinions and appreciation for the initiative to improve the traffic situation in the region.

One user on Twitter urged attention to another area, stating, “Sir, please come to Kondhwa. Kondhwa is full of encroachments, traffic has become a nightmare, crossing the road for even young people is very difficult.”

Another user applauded the efforts, saying, “Good job… Need more efforts.”

Addressing ongoing concerns, a user highlighted remaining issues, stating, “There are still a lot of encroachments on Keshavnagar and Manjari road. Please understand that after paying 80-90 lakhs for apartments, we are getting dust and poor-quality infrastructure. Just see the roads of Kharadi and compare with Keshavnagar, why this difference?”

The PMC’s initiative is seen as a positive step towards addressing traffic challenges, and citizens are hopeful for more such improvements in various areas.
