Pune, August 18, 2023: Commuters relying on the Pune-Mumbai rail route should brace themselves for disruptions as essential signalling work related to the automation of signals between Chinchwad and Khadki stations is set to take place. The result? A slew of train services cancellations on Sunday, August 20th.

Trains affected by these cancellations include the Intercity Express 12127/12128 on the Pune-Mumbai-Pune route, the Deccan Express 11007/11008 on the Pune-Mumbai-Pune route, the Pragati Express 12125/12126 on the Pune-Mumbai-Pune route, and the Koyna Express 11029/11030 on the Mumbai-Kolhapur-Mumbai route.

Local train services between Pune and Talegaon and between Pune and Lonavala will also face disruptions. Notably, trains like the 01584 and 01586 locals departing from Pune to Talegaon at 06:48 and 08:53 respectively, along with the 01558, 01562, 01564, 01566, and 01568 locals departing from Pune to Lonavala at different times, are among the services that will be canceled.

Similar inconveniences will impact trains departing from Shivajinagar to Talegaon and Lonavala, as well as trains from Lonavala to Pune and other destinations.

Additionally, schedule adjustments have been made for some trains. The departure time of train 12939 Pune-Jaipur Express from Pune has been shifted from 17:30 to 17:45, while the departure time of train 22943 Daund-Indore Express from Daund has been rescheduled from 14:00 to 18:00.

Delays are also expected for several other trains scheduled to depart on Sunday, August 20th, including the 22159 Mumbai-Chennai Express, the 17222 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Kakinda Port Express, the 11019 Mumbai-Bhubaneswar Express, the 22732 Mumbai-Hyderabad Express, the 11302 Bangalore-Mumbai Express, and the 22194 Gwalior-Daund Express. These delays are attributed to the ongoing signalling work taking place between Chinchwad and Khadki stations in the Pune Division.

Commuters and passengers are advised to stay informed about these changes, make necessary adjustments to their travel plans, and keep an eye out for further updates from the railway authorities.
