PUNE: A shocking incident has taken place wherein a 16-year-old boy who had gone for a practice with a dhol tasha group, was kidnapped and killed in Saswad area.
According to the preliminary information, the minor was killed on the suspicion that he had given some information to a rival gang. The police have arrested two notorious criminals.
The arrested accused have been identified as Sairaj Lonkar (25), a resident of Kondhwa Khurd and Omkar Kapre (25), a resident of Kondhwa. Lonkar and Kapre are notorious criminals. The Kondhwa police have registered an FIR against 10 to 11 people and two minors have been apprehended.
According to the police, the minor boy stayed in Shivneri Nagar area of Kondhwa. On Saturday, he had gone for a practice with a dhol tasha group. Since he did not return home till late in the night, his family had lodged a complaint at the Kondhwa police station on Sunday, The police immediately started a probe and they came to know that a person who was with the minor boy had disappeared and had returned to his house in Kondhwa. He had suffered injury on his leg.
Lonkar and Kapre kidnapped the minor boy and took him to Saswad. The boy was seriously injured after he was brutally assaulted. After the Kondhwa police came to know that the minor had succumbed to his injuries, they arrested both of them. Their two minor accomplices were also detained. PI Sandip Bhosle is probing the case.
