PUNE MHADA: Deadline for submitting applications increased to October 20

PUNE: The deadline for the lottery draw of nearly 6,000 houses to be conducted by Pune division of MHADA has been extended. Considering the problems being faced by applicants in completing the documentation, the deadline has been extended till October 20. The lucky draw will be held on November 9.

An advertisement had been published on September 6 about the draw of 5,863 houses in Pune, Solapur, Sangli and Kolhapur districts of Pune division of MHADA. Accordingly, the deadline of submitting applications was September 27. The deadline for submitting a token amount was September 28. The deadline for paying a token amount online was September 29.

However, since there was a condition that submission of domicile certificate was necessary with the application form, only applications with all documents were being accepted. However, due to many holidays this month, citizens were facing problems in getting the domicile certificate from the tahsildar’s office on time. Many applicants and organisations had requested MHADA to extend the deadline.

Accordingly, the deadline has been extended till October 20. The deadline for paying the token amount has been extended till October 21. The list of accepted applications will be published on October 27 and the final list will be published on November 3. The names of successful applicants and those on the waiting list will be published on MHADA’s website on November 9 at 6 pm. Till Wednesday evening, 32,996 people have submitted applications and 18,369 people had paid the token amount.

Ashok Patil, Chief Officer of MHADA Pune said, “The draw has received an excellent response. In last three days, the number of applicants has increased significantly. However, there was a demand from the applicants that the deadline should be extended due to the problems in procuring the documents. Hence, the deadline has been extended till October 20. The applicants should take advantage of this opportunity.”
