Pune Metro to Extend Connectivity with Two New Routes Opening by End of July

Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro Line

Pune Metro is set to expand its connectivity by opening two additional stretches by the end of July. According to officials, the Pune Metro is expected to make the Garware College to Ruby Hall Clinic and Civil Court to Phugewadi routes available to passengers by the end of this month.

The Commissioner of Railway Security (CMRS) conducted inspections on these routes earlier, and the final certificate is likely to be issued by the second week of July. A final visit by the CMRS is also expected to take place soon.

Once the Metro officials receive the CMRS certificate, they will be prepared to launch the service for passengers on these two routes. However, the final decision to commence operations will be made by the state government.

Currently, the Pune Metro service is operational between Garware College to Vanaz and Phugewadi to Pimpri Chinchwad stations. These two routes were inaugurated last year by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during an event held in the city.

The addition of the Garware College to Ruby Hall Clinic and Civil Court to Phugewadi stretches will significantly enhance the connectivity and convenience of Pune Metro for commuters. These expansions will contribute to reducing traffic congestion and improving transportation options within the city.
