According to the information shared on Pune Metro’s X handle, the initiative is part of their commitment to sustainability with the message, “Go Green & Save More… Make the smart choice for the environment with Pune Metro! Go paperless, opt for our E-tickets, and ensure a hassle-free, eco-friendly travel experience.”
The X handle further states, “GOOD NEWS! Starting from 1st February 2024, save 10% on our Digital Ticket on weekdays & Get 30% OFF on weekends! To avail of the E-ticket & the offer, simply send ‘Hi’ to 9420101990 on WhatsApp OR use the official Pune Metro app.”

In January 2024, the Pune Metro achieved a significant milestone by surpassing a record-breaking ridership count of over 1 crore from March 6, 2022, to January 24, 2024. The total ridership count during this period reached 1,17,98,841, marking a testament to the system’s reliability and efficiency.
