PUNE: The Principal of Symbiosis College, Hrishikesh Soman, said that the college management has taken a serious view of objectionable comments made by Professor Ashok Dhole against Hindu Gods, which have gone viral on social media and suspended him.
A video call in which Professor Ashok Dhole has made objectionable comments against Hindu Gods, has gone viral on social media. Various Hindutva organisations made a demand that the Deccan police should register an FIR against Professor Ashok Dhole and take action against him. Accordingly, when the police were carrying out an investigation, activists of ABVP staged an agitation at the entrance of Symbiosis College at 1.30 pm.
Principal Hrishikesh Soman said, “No one is supporting the controversial statement made by Professor Ashok Dhole. We have suspended Dhole against this background and an enquiry committee has been appointed. The committee will take further action.”
