PUNE: An incident of a man killing his wife after assaulting her with a knife by suspecting her character took place at Sant Nagar area in Lohegaon. The man has been arrested by the Lohegaon police. The deceased has been identified as Rupali alias Babita Ashish Bhosle (35), a resident of Lohegaon. Her husband Ashish Bhosle (32), a resident of Lohegaon, has been arrested. Swapnil Balasaheb Khandve has lodged a complaint at the Vimantal police station.
The Bhosle couple was staying on rent in Sant Nagar area in Lohegaon. The accused Ashish is a cleaning worker. Since last few months, Ashish was harassing his wife by suspecting her character. There was an argument between them. Ashish attacked his wife with a knife.
Their neighbours came to know about this incident and they informed the police. Rupali was immediately admitted to a hospital but she had succumbed to her injuries. DCP Shashikant Borate, ACP Sanjay Patil, Sr PI Vilas Sonde visited the area. The police have arrested the accused Ashish and ACP Sanjay Dhamne is probing the case.
