Pune, 17th July 2023: The Pune City Police have successfully apprehended an individual who fled with a car he had rented from Zoom Car company. The accused was intercepted by the police team at the Gujarat border while attempting to escape from Maharashtra.
The incident occurred on July 13th when the accused rented a Thar Four By Four car from Zoom Car. As soon as the officials at the company realized that the car had been stolen, they promptly lodged a complaint with the police. The police, utilizing technical analysis, traced the whereabouts of the accused and managed to apprehend him near Talasai, Palghar, just as he was about to cross into Gujarat.
The arrested individual has been identified as Shailesh Kumar Hingu, a resident of Surat, Gujarat. He has been taken into custody by the police, and a case has been registered at the Vimantal Police Station under section 406 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The investigation into the matter is currently underway.
