Pune: Four individuals defrauded a 49-year-old man from Kothrud by pretending to be panel consultants at a government bank and approving his loan, which has been sitting in the bank for a while. This incident took place from September 2, 2022, to April 23, 2023, at Advance Cad Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Kothrud police have registered a case of financial fraud against four people and initiated an inquiry against them.
In this regard, the victim, Milind Dadaji Futane, filed a complaint at Kothrud police station on Monday. The police informed that all four accused, namely Vinod Ravindra Shendge, Akshay Vinod Shendge, Prashant Bhalchandra Bandewar, and Rohan Chandrasekhar Metkari, worked at Advance Cad Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
The plaintiff had earlier applied for a loan at the government bank. However, for a long time, his application was not approved, and the loan has not been sanctioned for him. Meanwhile, the victim became acquainted with all four accused, who gained his trust by claiming they were consultants on a panel in a government bank.
In their sinister plan, the accused gained the trust of the plaintiff and extracted staggering 28 lakh, 22 thousand, and 400 rupees in the form of transfers and cash from the plaintiff, promising him to sanction the loan from the government bank.
But, to Futane’s shocking surprise, the accused never approved the complainant’s application regarding a loan. On the other hand, when Futane asked the accused about the loan, the accused started mentally torturing him and threatened him with eviction from Pune. The accused further abused the victim without returning his money.
After that, Futane lodged a complaint against all four accused at Kothrud Police Station. Police booked the accused under IPC 420, 406, 504, 506, and 34. The police are conducting further investigations.
