PUNE: The political atmosphere has heated up after a video of a video call made by BJP leader Kirit Somaiya became viral. The women activists of Shiv Sena (Thackeray group) have become aggressive and an agitation of hitting Kirit Somaiya’s photograph with slippers was held at Balgandharva Chowk. The agitation was led by Savita Mate, chief of the women’s unit of Shiv Sena (Thackeray group).
Savita Mate said, “Kirit Somaiya always makes big claims about corruption in high places. An objectionable video of Kirit Somaiya with a woman has become viral and not a single BJP leader is willing to talk about this. Will the BJP act against Somaiya? We held this agitation to protest against this video. We will intensify our agitation if the BJP does not take action against Somaiya.”
