Pune: Indian Meteorological Department has issued an Orange Alert for Pune District with heavy rainfall in ghat areas of northern taluka of the district, especially tomorrow night.
Accordingly, as per the Pune District Disaster Mitigation Plan, local authorities have been instructed to assess the prevalent risks and to take necessary precautions.
All Hospitals have been adequately staffed and stocked with necessary medicines. Ambulance are functional and have full fuel. Officials have been asked to stay in Headquarters and stay on alert. Taluka Officials would be inspecting readiness today.
Instructions have been issued to ensure roads to be kept clear and to be in constant communication.
